About OLOC

Our Lady Of Consolation Aged Care & Services is a proud and independent Not-For-Profit organisation housing up to 300 elderly residents based in Rooty Hill in Sydney’s Western Suburbs.  We also provide home care services to up to 2000 elderly residents across the Sydney Metro Region assisting them to remain in their homes for longer.  Our focus is on helping the elderly to be as active and able as they can be, regardless of their underlying health conditions.

The Role

You will have the opportunity to provide direct and valuable support to our Home and Community Services Team. The purpose of the role will be to assist residents to remain in their own homes for longer, by liaising with clients, builders and contractors, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to organise home modifications and maintaining their progress to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Home Modifications team, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Liaise daily with builders and contractors, ensuring projects are completed on time and in line with client specifications.
  • Manage client interactions, including scheduling, inquiries, and follow-up.
  • Handle quotes and invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes.
  • Ensure a deep understanding of the building industry, codes, and terminologies to assist with project coordination.
  • Work closely with clients in Home and Community services, providing top-tier customer service and communication.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in aged care, particularly within the Home and Community Services stream.
  • Experience working with or supporting the Home Modifications team or liaising with builders on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of the building industry, including familiarity with industry codes, terminologies, and processes.
  • Strong administrative skills, with experience handling quotes, managing invoices, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-centered approach.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
