Retirement of Jenny Fahy
Well the moment has arrived, and Jenny has now set the date of her retirement!
Jenny will retire from her Operations Manager role on Friday 2nd August after nearly 20 years of loyal service to OLOC, and it’s staff, residents & clients. The good news is Jenny will stay on in a part time role managing our building redevelopments until the Rooty Hill renovation is finished at the end of the year. So we will still see Jenny’s smiling face for a while longer!
Unfortunately words can’t adequately convey what Jenny has meant for OLOC over her stellar career. It is true to say Jenny is a part of OLOC, and OLOC a part of her. Jenny commenced at OLOC in February 2005, initially in Home Care and Food Services. This was when our Packaged Care services were just beginning. Jenny has overseen huge growth and development of our Home Care services, and from 2015, has also overseen the development of our Residential Care services into the high-quality reputation OLOC now enjoys.
Jenny’s focus has been on both quality and service innovation, and she has approached this with her special blend of flare and creativity that remains evident today. Jenny has always built strong teams over many years, and led strongly & effectively, including during the height of the Covid crisis. Simply put, we would not be where we are today without Jenny Fahy!
So we congratulate and celebrate Jenny for all she has achieved in making OLOC what it is today; and we wish her all the best as she embarks on new journeys in her retirement. We will have opportunities to get together & celebrate Jenny’s contribution to OLOC and her retirement in the coming months, but in the meantime please take the opportunity to reach out & congratulate Jenny.
We will commence a recruitment process now to search for an Operations Manager for OLOC, and will let you know how this progresses in the coming months.
Kind regards,
David Maher
