Home Care Packages

Our Lady of Consolation Home Care Packages give you the choice to receive care when and how you would like it. Our Care and Services Coordinators will listen to you and discuss your needs. You will be able to design a package of care and services that are tailored to your individual requirements and flexible enough to change when you need them to change.

From help with the simple tasks in life to the more complex of care needs, you will have the support to help through the toughest of days. Getting the basics sorted will give you the time to stay connected to your friends and family and spend time doing the things you enjoy.

Exploring a new interest might be something you want to include in your care plan.

Our Lady of Consolation offers Home Care Packages to people living in an area ranging from Epping to Dural to the Western edge of the Blue Mountains who have been assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team as requiring this level of care.


Staying Connected and Engaged with Life

If it is important to you our staff can help you stay engaged or to re-engage with the people and then things that you enjoy in life.

This might be as simple as going to your favourite club, keeping in touch with family or continuing with a hobby or church group. It might be that our staff can help you to use the internet or Facebook. Some people have been able to keep in touch with grandchildren and great grandchildren, even in other parts of the world.

Being Active and Able

You might like a personal exercise program developed for you by our Exercise Physiologist or a group class in our innovative Get Yourself Moving (GYM) Programs. Water aerobics or Tai Chi might be helpful to manage your pain or you can have some fun getting fit. Our team includes Exercise Physiologists, a Massage Therapist and Registered Nurses that can help you monitor and keep track with your exercise choices. They will provide you with updates on your progress and liaise with other health professionals at your request.

You will receive a quote so you can see exactly how your packaged funds will be allocated, in line with your wishes.

Levels of Care (1-4)

Home Care Packages range from occasional domestic assistance and support at the lower level, to nursing level care in your own home at the higher level on a continuum from Level 1 (the lowest level) to Level 4 (the highest level).

OLOC’s Home Care Packages has services available at Levels 1 to 4, and our Commonwealth Home Support Program Services offers basic maintenance or entry level services sitting below a Level 1 Home Care Package. OLOC can also assist you to easily transition between Levels if and when your care needs change.

Helping You Get Started

Before you can apply for any of our Home Care Packages you will need to organise an assessment through MyAgedCare. This assessment is needed to confirm your care needs and that you are eligible for a Home Care Package.

Call us on (02) 9832 5417 and our Customer Liaison Coordinator will take the time to answer all your questions and can help you to navigate the Aged Care System including obtaining the required assessment.
Alternatively you can contact MyAgedCare on 1800 200 422 and ask for to be referred to Our Lady of Consolation's Home Care Packages.
When we have your referral we will follow up and meet with you about what you want help with.
