Building Works Update

New entrance to Nursing Home from Wednesday 1st November

Dear Resident Representative

As we signalled by text last week, the main entrance at the St Josephs end of the nursing home will be closed from tomorrow, Wednesday 1st November, and visitors will need to use the other main entrance, which is at the eastern end of the building, near the laundry.

Visitors to St Anthonys and St Francis should find that using this eastern entrance is more convenient, as it is closer to these units.

You will find visitor parking immediately opposite the entrance, next to the laundry.

As you know, we are in the middle of a major refurbishment project, and in the next stage we will be building a spectacular roof top garden over the existing entrance to the nursing home, and we will also be rebuilding the existing hall, building a new resident gym area and a new hairdressing salon. The St Josephs entrance will reopen when the building project is completed next year.

We have managed several similar upgrading projects in our other facilities, so we are confident that we can minimise any disruption for you. To help with this, Robyn Dickens and Gemma Shorten have moved to a new office next to the entrance at the laundry end of the building, so they are easily accessible if you have any feedback or suggestions.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
